Changing Direct Quotes into Indirect Quotes

Sometimes, a job can be overwhelming! 

Mei's boss told her, "Mei, you need to perform a very complicated design project.  You are expected to have the task completed by the end of the week."  

Mei went to her boss.  She complained, "I don't understand what you expect me to accomplish. I have not been trained to work with such a complex design framework." 

Her boss responded, "It is your responsibility to research how such a project can be accomplished."

Mei responded, "I'll try!"
